Nesbit Publishing has up to six contests annually. The Black Rose and Black Gold Prize is awarded to an author who has out shined his or her peers.

The 2018 Black Rose Prize
$1,000 and publication
Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Authors writing in English . We will consider individual collections and volumes of fiction, essays and poetry. Besides the winner, Nesbit Publishing may publish as many as ten additional manuscripts from this competition.
- Please include a $20 reading fee. Payments are made on the payment page.
- Postmark Deadline: June 2, 2018. The winning manuscript will be named in October 2018 and published in January 2019.
