Why is the Executive Branch out of Control?

Why is the Executive Branch out of Control?

Where are We?

The Executive Branch of the United States, from the highest of the positions to the lowest, is seen as corrupt, and when one looks at the Federal Executive Branch of government, it is easy to point out the lawlessness and blatant disregard for the laws and norms of the United States., examples such as: Trump asking for foreign countries to interfere in the United State´s sovereign election and William Barr attempting to prosecute every ex-employee of the federal government who has spoken out against Trump—John Bolton being the most recent target.

And, when one looks at the executive branch at the local level, there is also disfunction, such as the killings of unarmed black men, harassment, and plain murder. Now, it is not the citizens, individually, who are in trouble with the Executive Branch, it is the entire country. Even though many congressmen, law-enforcement officials, and judges like to say that ´no one is above the law,´ they act and apply the law criminally among themselves rarely and conservatively. Meanwhile, everyday citizens are watching there government officials get away with felonies: defrauding the people of the United States.

How Did We get Here?

  • Some will say ¨we arrived at this point by granting immunity indiscriminately for nearly all government officials.¨

    • Do we really want to live in a world where the police, not only has the power to arrest citizens, but anyone at will. I do not believe so! That would give the Executive Branch power over the other branches of government. They could simply arrest anyone for anything.

  • Others will say ¨we have too many police officers enforcing the law.¨

    • The fact of the matter is that the law is broken almost every second of everyday, and there are not enough law-enforcement officials to clear the streets of criminals now, so what would be the result if we had less protection from our criminal neighbors? I think the answer is one that people are not yet ready to deal with. The criminals in the streets are ten times worse than the police as a whole.

  • I believe it is ethics.

    • People in The United States have become so impatient for goods and money that they often do not care how they get what they want; they, simply, want what they want. And, our president is a reflection of that. We elected someone who only cares about getting the job done. As we see, it is not turning out to be the great presidency everyone assumed it would be.

    • Every job is important, and people who work need to have ethics and morals, and they need to be decent people. We cannot hire someone for a job or pay anyone in government or in any capacity if they are not of good and decent character. And, this is where capitalism ceases to solve the problems destined for man. At a point, character does matter.
